The Forum meets year round. Our working groups and Executive are open to member organisations; roundtables, launches and mentoring events bring in government, the regulator and people outside the sector.

How the Forum meets
Beyond one-off events, the Forum runs on a standing rhythm. Every member organisation can take part in all three working groups.
Executive
Meets roughly every six weeks at techUK and online. Sponsor members, plus Ofcom, DCMS and the Communications Consumer Panel. Sets the direction of the Forum’s work.
Working groups
Digital Infrastructure, Climate and Sustainability, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Each meets regularly, sets its own research priorities and drafts the Forum’s consultation responses.
Operations Board
Oversees governance, membership and resourcing. Chaired by Andrew Wileman, Virgin Media O2.
Advisory Council Dinners
Off-the-record dinners for chief executives and senior leaders, with a guest of honour from government or the regulator. Held a few times a year.
Roundtables
Focused sessions on a single question, often part of a series. Hybrid, and open to all member organisations.
Careers and outreach
Mentoring circles and awareness events, run with partners such as DWP, connecting jobseekers and career changers with people working in telecoms.
