The whole connectivity value chain, in one room.

The Digital Connectivity Forum is the UK Government’s primary advisory group on digital connectivity. We bring operators, manufacturers, broadcasters, Ofcom and government together, build the evidence, and tell government and industry what the evidence says.

What we’re working on

Each working group is open to every member organisation. Between them they set the research programme and draft the Forum’s consultation responses.

Digital infrastructure

The switch from digital terrestrial television to IP delivery, 2G sunsetting, the all-IP migration, and the investment conditions for full fibre and 5G standalone.

Current work

Climate and sustainability

Benchmarking net zero commitments across UK telecoms, tracking science-based targets, and testing where AI genuinely reduces energy use rather than adding to it.

Current work

People and inclusion

Widening who enters and stays in the sector, through the Connected Careers programme, mentoring circles, and research into the barriers facing new entrants.
